Welcome to Dubai College Foundation

registered charity in England and Wales #1173243

Dubai College Foundation was established on 1st January 2017 and is a registered charity in England and Wales (# 1173243).

The object of the Dubai College Foundation is to promote education at Dubai College as per the constitution of the school and the Foundation.  Specifically, it will aim to raise funds in order to:

  • promote fundraising and volunteering opportunities at Dubai College with a view to advancing the education of pupils at schools in developing countries.
  • provide scholarships and bursaries to enable suitable children from all backgrounds to attend Dubai College with the ultimate intention to generate sufficient funds so that education can be offered without the need to charge fees.
  • assist with the development of the school so that it can continue to maintain the outstanding performance whilst keeping school fees as low as possible.
  • be able to provide assistance to those parents who are suffering hardship and unable to meet the fees.

Our Nepal Journey So Far

Since 2019 Dubai College's Philanthropic Pillar has been focusing on providing educational facilities and support to rural communities in Nepal in partnership with UWS Nepal and Pahar Trust.

The first four schools....

Student Engagement

Working closely with our local partners on these projects has enabled incredible first hand opportunities for Dubai College students to visit the areas and better understand the meaningful impact of our philanthropic endeavours.

It has been a privilege for our students and our parents to make a number of insightful trips to Nepal since February 2020; including a trip to Jaisithok School and four trips to SJS School. In September 2025, Dubai College students will have the honour of attending the opening ceremony of the latest project, the brand new Kalika School located in the Bandipur region.

These are no ordinary school trips. Students teach lessons in English, Maths, Art, and PE. They immerse themselves in the life of the village and for our parents this is a transformative experience, shifting their opinions on education and privilege.

Student trips look like this...

How have we got here?

Music Charity Love, International Day, Sports Day, MUGA league, Nepal Boutique Stalls, Father's Day Stall, Candle Making Workshop, Tote Bag Workshop, Book Sales, numerous non-uniform days as well as support stalls at parents evenings AND numerous personal initiatives including running marathons!

Third School - Talung School, aka UWS Bailey, 2024

Talung School was completed in 2024 and the local community very kindly named it UWS Bailey in memory of James Bailey, a beloved Dubai College family member, and Teacher of Biology who sadly passed away that year. (Insert UWS plaque unveiling video)
